Inspired by the staggered layout of the other constructions in the street, the functions of this house were arranged according to a herringbone design. The three volumes – with the second pushed back in relation to the first, and the third in relation to the second – were finished on the outside with wooden boards whose pattern continues over the adjoining blind walls. The living area spans the different volumes and gains in spatiality thanks to theparents’ raised bedroom. The writing shed in the garden provides the creative owner with a space of their own.
Geinspireerd door de geschrankte woningen in de straat zijn de functies van deze woning ook in visgraat geschakeld. De van elkaar verschoven volumes zijn buiten met houten latten afgewerkt en zetten het spel van de aanpalende blinde wachtgevels verder. De woonruimte vloeit over de verschillende volumes heen en krijgt meer ruimtelijkheid door het verhoogde ouderslaapgedeelte.
Het schrijfhuisje in de tuin biedt een plek van afzondering voorde creatieve bouwheer.
Inspiré par la disposition décalée des autres habitations de la rue, les fonctions de cette habitation ont été aménagées en arêtes de poisson. Les 3 volumes - le second repoussé par rapport au premier et le troisième par rapport au second - ont été finis à l’extérieur avec un bardage en bois dont le motif se poursuit sur les murs aveugles attenants. L’espace de vie coule au-dessus les différents volumes et acquiert plus de spatialité grâce à la chambre surélevée des parents.
La maisonnette d’écriture dans le jardin offre au maître d’ouvrage créatifun lieu de repli.
